About Charli

Charli Kahler is an Australian figure oil painter based in Brisbane. She first began painting when she was 11 years old because of her love and passion towards Japanese animations. Charli left high school after completing grade 10 to pursue a Diploma of Visual Arts, and then completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts in 2019.

She uses oil paints as her main medium to create portraits and is inspired by Japanese art, diverse colour palettes and photography. Charli aims for her audience to connect with the people she paints emotionally and hopes to create an atmosphere that the viewer finds nostalgic. She has been a finalist in multiple competitions including the Rotary Art Spectacular, Young Archie, Lethbridge 10,000, and more.
